
It's All About the Volunteers!

The Children's Water Festival is organized by dedicated community volunteers and representatives from dozens of organizations from across London & Middlesex County and will take place from Tuesday, May 12th - Friday, May 15th, 2026.

Each year, we need 150 volunteers each day to help us ensure a successful Festival! Tasks include:

Festival set up or take down

Interpreting activity stations* (scripts provided)

Parking
-
Greeting students upon arrival

Supervising students during lunch hour

Grounds and facilities maintenance

Assisting with bus departure

*Please note that a minimum of one day’s commitment (8:00 am to 2:00 pm) is required for all activity station volunteers.

Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age.
​
What to Expect as a Volunteer​
When you volunteer at the Festival, you will receive: ​

Free lunch on the day(s) you volunteer

An apron or safety vest to wear
Most volunteers will be on their feet, so be prepared with comfortable footwear and clothing that can get dirty or wet.
The Festival is outdoors, rain or shine.

The Festival Coordinator will contact you prior to the Festival to confirm dates, times, tasks, and to provide you with an information manual.

High School Volunteers
We will be recruiting secondary school classes to help at the Festival each day. If you have a class that would like to participate, please contact the Water Festival Coordinator.​

Other Support
The Organizing Committee would be pleased to accept any donation in the form of money, applicable product or in-kind service, such as food, or equipment use. If you would like more information, a presentation can be provided to your group by contacting the Festival Coordinator, Linda Smith.
